If you have already conducted your fieldwork without getting verbal or written consent for data archiving and sharing, you can ask for consent retroactively.

If getting consent retroactively is not possible, another option would be to publish your data collection without access to the data itself as "metadata only". In this case, the metadata and the description of data collection would be available, but not the data itself. Still, this would make it possible to find, discuss and cite your dataset with a DOI.
