What happens with my data when I delete my account?
When you delete your account, your data won’t be deleted but will continue to be archived at Discuss Data.
Discuss Data offers no institutional accounts, only personal user accounts. Thus, if you have submitted a data set owned by your institution, you were assigned automatically as the “data owner”. If you leave the respective institution, the ownership can be reassigned by the responsible curator. In this case, an employee of the institution has to register an account and will be assigned as the new “data owner”. In the metadata section, you will be credited as the initial data owner.
