Description

Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, in collaboration with the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), conducted a controlled experiment using an online survey platform. Respondents were recruited from the media community through the Foundation’s internal contact database and consisted of individuals professionally involved in the production and dissemination of information.

Between 16 September and 11 November, 200 invited participants completed the online questionnaire. Upon entering the survey, respondents were randomly assigned to one of six groups: one control group and five experimental groups. All participants were presented with four news items related to the mobilisation campaign. The items were designed to resemble real news stories previously published in Ukrainian media. After reviewing each news item, respondents were asked whether they would publish it without changes, publish it with modifications, or not publish it.
