Description

Gender Equality Attitudes Study (GEAS) in Georgia was commissioned by UN Women with the generous support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and conducted by CRRC-Georgia. The survey measures the prevalence of discriminatory attitudes and gender-based stereotypes in Georgia. The survey methodology is informed by UN Women and the Unstereotype Alliance’s Gender Equality Attitudes Study, which is regularly conducted by UN Women in 20 countries.

Population: 16 years old and over excluding populations living in territories affected by military conflict (South Ossetia and Abkhazia).

Sample Design: Multi-stage cluster sampling with preliminary stratification.

Sample Size: 1,238 respondents.

Response rate: 21%

Survey mode: Computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI).

Interview languages: Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian.

Fieldwork Dates: January 20 to February 19, 2024

Results are weighted.
