Description

This public opinion poll aimed to collect data on the political and economic situation in Kyrgyzstan at the time. It was conducted before the upcoming presidential elections and referendum, specifically in December 2020.

The topics covered in this poll include electoral preferences, voting intentions, attitudes towards proposed constitutional amendments, preferences on the form of government, attitudes towards the upcoming referendum, popular support for politicians, and levels of trust in different institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Data were collected from approximately 1000 respondents using computer-assisted telephone interviewing. Mobile phone numbers were selected through simple random sampling to obtain a nationally representative sample. The final questionnaire was programmed in both Kyrgyz and Russian languages.

The data are available in SPSS, Stata, and Excel formats. More comprehensive information is provided in a methods report and a questionnaire (both in English) as pdf files.
