Description

The nationwide opinion poll was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation (DIF) in cooperation with the Razumkov Centre sociological service from 8 to 15 August 2024.
2017 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed face-to-face in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi regions and the city of Kyiv. In Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson regions - only in the territories controlled by the government of Ukraine and where no combat operations are taking place.
The survey was conducted using a stratified multi-stage sample using random selection at the first stages of sampling and a quota method of selecting respondents at the final stage (when respondents were selected according to gender and age quotas).
The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%. At the same time, additional systematic sample deviations may be caused by the consequences of Russian aggression, in particular, the forced evacuation of millions of citizens.
The dataset made available here does not contain the complete results of the nationwide opinion poll. Rather, it comprises only the subset of survey questions and corresponding data that were submitted to the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen (FSO) within the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre 1342 “Global Dynamics of Social Policy” (project no. 374666841), specifically for Subproject B06, “Resource Boom and Social Policy in Authoritarian Regimes. A Means of Securing Regime Stability?”, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation). The cooperation between DIF and FSO in relation to the open access publication of opinion polls is funded by DFG in the context of the Discuss Data online repository (project no. 493011772).
