Description

The interview collection comprises 34 in-depth interviews with Ukrainian citizens: 19 women and 15 men aged between 19 and 65. At the time of the interviews, the respondents were either residing in Ukraine or had left Ukraine after 2022 and were living in Germany or Switzerland. The interviews were conducted between February and May 2025, either online or offline, depending on the respondents’ place of residence. Interviews with respondents residing in Ukraine and in Switzerland were conducted online via various messenger services and digital communication tools, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, Signal and Zoom, according to the respondents’ preferences. Interviews with respondents in Germany were conducted both online and offline. Depending on the respondents’ preferences, the interviews were conducted in Ukrainian or Russian. The total duration of all interviews included in this dataset is 89 hours and 51 minutes, with an average interview length of 2,6 hours.
