Description

The Global Labour Conflicts dataset compiled by the International Institute of Social History provides country-level time series on labor conflicts worldwide, primarily covering strikes and lockouts. The data include annual indicators such as the number of disputes, workers involved, and working days lost, with coverage extending from 1850 to 2020; however, the coverage varies by country. The dataset is assembled through the harmonization of multiple historical and contemporary sources, including International Labour Organization publications and historical statistical compilations. The dataset (tabular data) and codebook can be accessed through the link indicated above (no registration needed).
